Randy has been at the helm of the agency since 2003. He has spent 20 years in the finance, public accounting and technology industries, directly participating in venture funding, business acquisitions, and operations and risk management. As a licensed CPA, with a graduate degree in finance, Randy advises clients on matters relating to risk management, insurance program design, contract negotiation, and finance. Randy holds licenses for property and casualty Insurance as well as FINRA series 6, 7 and 63 securities licenses. Randy earned his undergraduate degree from Alma College, and his MBA in Finance from Northwestern University. He is also a member of the executive leadership group, Vistage Michigan.
Rachel joined the KorthaseFlinn Business Insurance team in 2011. As an Account Manager, Rachel excels at customer service. Some of her primary responsibilities include assisting customers with their questions, endorsement and audit processing, policy reviews, certificates of insurance, and insurance placement. Rachel is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance. She earned her undergraduate degree from North Central Michigan College and Grand Valley State University.
Matthew joined KorthaseFlinn as a Property & Casualty professional in 2008 and is now a Business Insurance Account Manager in our Petoskey office. He holds licenses for Property & Casualty Insurance as well as Life and Health. Matthew has earned the prestigious Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC) designation, which is bestowed on less than three percent of Michigan agents. He has also secured designations as a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS), and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). At KorthaseFlinn, Matthew specializes in working with our clients to create a plan that will provide peace of mind by pairing risk analysis with industry knowledge and relationships. He also serves as a member of the Boyne City Advisory Committee through the Charlevoix County Community Foundation and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow for his exceptional service as a Rotarian.
Adam has been a fixture in the northern Michigan insurance industry since 2007, working closely with business owners to assist them in defining their individual risk profiles and implementing appropriate risk management programs. Adam aims to partner with organizations to ensure their insurance policies align with their short and long-term goals, while effectively mitigating risk, creating a safe work environment, and controlling costs. Adam holds licenses for Property and Casualty Insurance, as well as Life and Health. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, and is currently completing his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Adam is a past Board Member of the Leelanau Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of Leadership Grand Traverse, and is the current Chair of the Northwestern Michigan College Scholarship Golf Outing.
Dan is a 2017 graduate of Central Michigan University, where he earned his degree in Business Communications and Professional Sales. While completing his undergraduate studies, Dan also completed two internships where he gained exposure to the nuances of commercial risk management and insurance placement. These internships cemented Dan’s resolve to pursue Business Insurance as his career focus, and he joined KorthaseFlinn immediately after graduation. As a native of Gaylord, Dan is committed to developing relationships and supporting his clients and the business communities across northern Michigan. He is an active member of the Gaylord Chamber in his role as Chamber Ambassador.
Amanda has been a licensed professional in the insurance industry for 20 years. She has held positions in Agency Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, and IT. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University. She is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance, as well as Life and Health. She has earned the prestigious designations of Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), placing her among the elite Risk Management experts in the industry. Amanda serves as president of the Harbor Springs Little League, co-president of the Harbor Springs Ski Boosters and is a coach for Northern Michigan Ski Academy.
Trent is a career professional with 10 years of experience in the commercial banking industry. Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance, Trent has extensive experience in a variety of financial and strategic matters including mergers & acquisitions, commercial construction, and risk management. In his role, Trent strives to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships with the clients and communities that he supports. Trent is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University with a double major in Human Biology and Finance. He is a current board member of the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce and Freshwater Future, and an active Ambassador of the Petoskey Chamber of Commerce.
Kristine is a talented professional who has been honing her account management skills since 2004. Kristine brings her energetic personality and exceptional customer service skills to her role. She is licensed in Property and Casualty and has earned the industry designation of Certified Authority on Worker’s Compensation (CAWC). She is an alumnus of Lake Superior State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management. Kristine is active in the community and serves on the planning committee for the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce.
