Randy has been at the helm of the agency since 2003. He has spent 20 years in the finance, public accounting and technology industries, directly participating in venture funding, business acquisitions, and operations and risk management. As a licensed CPA, with a graduate degree in finance, Randy advises clients on matters relating to risk management, insurance program design, contract negotiation, and finance. Randy holds licenses for property and casualty Insurance as well as FINRA series 6, 7, 63 and 66 securities licenses. Randy earned his undergraduate degree from Alma College, and his MBA in Finance from Northwestern University. He is also a member of the executive leadership group, Vistage Michigan.

Christy joined KorthaseFlinn as an Operations Support Specialist, and is primarily located in our Boyne City office. She has been in the hospitality industry for close to a decade, and is excited to grow her skills within our family. She strives to develop strong relationships with her clients and team members, and to support both in any requests they may have. Christy, her husband and 2 children are local to the Boyne City area. She enjoys volunteering at Boyne City Public Schools, as well as camping, fishing and other outdoor activities beautiful northern Michigan has to offer.

Casey joined our team in 2019 bringing extensive experience in Human Resources Consulting across the Midwest. Casey is dedicated to educating the employer groups she works with, and prides herself on the customer experience and relationships she builds across Michigan. She is licensed in Life and Health Insurance, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Joining the KorthaseFlinn team in 2021, Micah is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the healthcare Marketplace as well as obtaining health coverage directly with carriers. In addition, he actively helps clients with claims issues, billing issues, or any other problems. Micah’s combination of analytical and problem solving skills, approachable personality and expertise make him an easy choice to work with. He holds a state of Michigan Life, Accident, and Health License. Micah earned an undergraduate degree in Finance from Albion.

Since joining KorthaseFlinn in 2010, Susan’s advanced analytical skills have enabled her to successfully conduct cost/benefit analysis from multiple carriers for small employer groups and individuals. Susan has lead the department in research and understanding of the  Affordable Care Act. She advises her clients daily and assists them in finding the right plan in the Healthcare Marketplace. In addition to being licensed in Health and Life Insurance, she is also a Life Insurance Counselor (LIC). She is responsible for assisting with all areas of service including claims resolution and benefits support to her clients.

Heather joined the KorthaseFlinn Employee Benefits team in 2010, bringing with her eight years of corporate human resources experience. This past experience provides great perspective to her employer group clients. Dedicated to client education, Heather ensures her groups understand their benefits, and with continuing education and licensing she remains a valuable resource. She is licensed in Life and Health Insurance, earned a Master’s in Management from Walsh College as well as a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Alma College.

Rachel joined our Employee Benefits department as an Benefits Coordinator in 2022 with a background in public health and a a degree in Health Administration.  She assists our employer clients with employee plan education, claims resolution, and eligibility processing.

Sara joined our Employee Benefits department in March 2020. While new to the Insurance industry, she brings a strong background in customer service and support with over 20 years of professional experience, most recently in Higher Education. Sara graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts. She lives on Crooked Lake with her husband, 2 children and 2 dogs.

Brandon joined our Employee Benefits department in 2017 with a  strong background in mathematics, statistics and actuarial analysis. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Michigan Univeristy and Master of Arts in Education from Michigan State University.  He taught in the eductation sector for nine years at the secondary and post-secondary level.  Brandon currently assists the employee benefits team by finding solutions to open enrollment, benefits planning, quoting and payroll for our clients.

Leslie has worn a wide range of hats prior to joining the Korthase Flinn. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences, she began working at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital as a Patient Care Technician. After reaching her full potential in that role, she segued into a more administrative position in Patient Access. Within that role, she began to learn the basics of health insurance, as seen through the eyes of the hospital. During that time, she also moonlighted as an Emergency Medical Technician with Beaver Island EMS. With the pandemic came the opportunity for Leslie to pursue her original passion for patient care, and she worked as a medical assistant. She has joined our team to pursue a long-term career in teaching people all that she has learned about how insurance plays into one’s overall healthcare experience.

Trent is a career professional with 10 years of experience in the commercial banking industry. Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance, Trent has extensive experience in a variety of financial and strategic matters including mergers & acquisitions, commercial construction, and risk management. In his role, Trent strives to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships with the clients and communities that he supports. Trent is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University with a double major in Human Biology and Finance.  He is a current board member of the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce and Freshwater Future, and an active Ambassador of the Petoskey Chamber of Commerce.

Ben entered the insurance industry in 2015 as a Business Insurance Associate.   At KorthaseFlinn, Ben works closely with business owners to assist them in defining their individual risk profiles and implementing appropriate risk management programs. A native of Harbor Springs, Ben is committed to supporting his clients and the business communities across northern Michigan.  Ben holds his Property & Casualty Insurance license and is on the Tip of the Mitt Quality Deer Management Association Board.  He attended Northern Michigan University, where he studied Business Entrepreneurship.

Amanda has been a licensed professional in the insurance industry for 20 years.  She has held positions in Agency Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, and IT.  Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University. She is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance, as well as Life and Health.  She has earned the prestigious designations of Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), placing her among the elite Risk Management experts in the industry.   Amanda serves as president of the Harbor Springs Little League, co-president of the Harbor Springs Ski Boosters and is a coach for Northern Michigan Ski Academy.

Kristine is a talented professional who has been honing her account management skills since 2004.  Kristine brings her energetic personality and exceptional customer service skills to her role.  She is licensed in Property and Casualty as well as Life and Health and has earned the industry designation of Certified Authority on Worker’s Compensation (CAWC).  She is an alumnus of Lake Superior State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management. Kristine is active in the community and serves on the planning committee for the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce.

Valerie joined KorthaseFlinn in Fall of 2019 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.  She brings a wealth of knowledge to KorthaseFlinn clients with over 13 years of insurance industry experience along with a license in Property and Casualty.   Valerie also holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Governors State University.  She currently resides in Traverse City with her husband and 2 boys.  She enjoys biking, hiking, snowmobiling and anything outdoors.  In her free time, she enjoys reading suspense books and sewing.

Terrie joined the Personal Insurance Division of KorthaseFlinn in 2001. Currently working towards her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation, Terrie is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance assisting her clients from our East Jordan office with their personal insurance needs. She is also active in her community as a volunteer for the East Jordan Public Schools.

Vicki joined the Personal Insurance Division of KorthaseFlinn in 2003, when the agency purchased Fifth Third Insurance. For nearly 30 years Vicki has specialized in Life, Home and Auto Insurance, starting her career as a Customer Service Representative with an agency in Flint, Michigan. She maintains licenses in Property and Casualty and Life and is currently working towards completion of her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Though she works primarily from our Petoskey office, Vicki volunteers her time with the Boyne City Public Schools.

Jennifer has worked in the financial sector since 2007 making her well-suited to serve as a trusted Financial Advisor. She holds her FINRA Services 6, 7, 63 and 66 Securities licenses, as well as Life and Health, Property and Casualty licenses.  Jennifer focuses on working closely with individuals in businesses throughout all stages of their financial lives whether it is planning for today’s financial concerns to developing long-term strategies for achieving their financial objectives. Jennifer earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University in 2008 and is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Little Traverse.
